These small multiflora daffodils lend themselves nicely to a simplified treatment. Most of the painting is warm gray which balances the touches of bright red, orange, yellow, and green. <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/977073242/daffodils-two-glass-vases-spring-bouquet" target="_blank">On my ETSY store</a><br /><p></p>Gretchen Hancockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14328967220190018526noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393074361246836009.post-25080006090686469382021-03-26T14:24:00.002-07:002021-03-26T14:24:13.178-07:00White Daffodils on Pink and Gold<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrjHZe-xIC8hBsJuEpNAbps0UevjBqe9LAx-MF1XJ4gXVcDh5SNXTBpDoFFzESlM_Cle-7BvavdTqliHf6NEX57-sDb62GPrn7xxcCEgW6GoQYbCFO_q-kiqimKj865Nb-jSycI4HhTHTI/s2048/White-Daffs-on-Pink.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrjHZe-xIC8hBsJuEpNAbps0UevjBqe9LAx-MF1XJ4gXVcDh5SNXTBpDoFFzESlM_Cle-7BvavdTqliHf6NEX57-sDb62GPrn7xxcCEgW6GoQYbCFO_q-kiqimKj865Nb-jSycI4HhTHTI/w640-h640/White-Daffs-on-Pink.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> 6 x 6 original oil painting of the early daffodils from the flower bed. My daughter has planted a lot of the lovely miniature multiflora white daffodils and now they are blooming and begging to be painted. So jaunty. To paint a mass of daffodils, I like to squint and paint the entire shape as one thing rather than paint each individual flower and petal. Simplify. <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/988921077/white-daffodils-on-pink-spring-flowers">On my ETSY store</a> <br /><p></p>Gretchen Hancockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14328967220190018526noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393074361246836009.post-52248500627964908882020-12-01T22:55:00.002-08:002020-12-01T23:07:24.099-08:00Blue Sky Sunset Ferry and Blake Island <p><br /> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhslQlALssTKxUbS6ef7GSe4lvk3FGicDBRvRPT0LC8oLKvOZmmFlMkz4r_8lQTwU0yVHNKGF8ubxOQq7Om2fm6_p2VRSV1Gj-f1AqKsUeoZz-U74yoGUCCzcDcOfD6TA4IHS0DI205_P1L/s2000/blue-sky-ferry-and-blake-island-sunset.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="2000" height="321" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhslQlALssTKxUbS6ef7GSe4lvk3FGicDBRvRPT0LC8oLKvOZmmFlMkz4r_8lQTwU0yVHNKGF8ubxOQq7Om2fm6_p2VRSV1Gj-f1AqKsUeoZz-U74yoGUCCzcDcOfD6TA4IHS0DI205_P1L/w640-h321/blue-sky-ferry-and-blake-island-sunset.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnkwNVro8XWSv_N4SaSm1V-ferfj3IwVwJk6dhWbgX2zL0L_BQuAYJIn-U5rrxwY5guM2xhdvyLYOFWM97jpw0rlQA_y_MavppzZAFrRuTmBFXYs0yMkqGJT_Umehbkg5till9AvflnDGb/s998/blue-sky-ferry-and-blake-island-sunset-detail.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="998" data-original-width="998" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnkwNVro8XWSv_N4SaSm1V-ferfj3IwVwJk6dhWbgX2zL0L_BQuAYJIn-U5rrxwY5guM2xhdvyLYOFWM97jpw0rlQA_y_MavppzZAFrRuTmBFXYs0yMkqGJT_Umehbkg5till9AvflnDGb/w640-h640/blue-sky-ferry-and-blake-island-sunset-detail.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p>18 x 36 painting of the Vashon-Southworth Ferry at Sunset with Blake Island and the Kitsap Peninsula in the background.
