Sunflowers are a showy late autumn flower with stiff petals and thick stems. They are almost sculptural. This is a nearly monochromatic subject with a lot of middle value and just a touch of dark and a little bit of light. This one will be in my studio for the upcoming Vashon Island Artist Studio Tour happening the first two weekends of December.
