Beach and Dunes

A view back up the sandy beach towards the trees and grasses that hold the dunes.  A perfect sunny day with a few clouds and a breeze.  Painted from photos I took on location.  This one will be in a show at Bainbridge Arts and Crafts in September. 

Ninilchik Church in Spring

A view of the Russian Orthodox church in Ninilchik, Alaska, with early spring grasses hiding the brown fireweed. 

Ferns and Foxglove

Foxglove and bracken ferns filled the meadow on my neighbor's property.  It is a  non-native flower that likes our cool climate.  It is beautiful in early summer when it blooms along roadsides and in open areas.
