Both the colors of the peppers and of the tabletop are very saturated, but there is a larger area of tabletop, which helps to establish dominance. I like the repeated pepper shapes, the repeated horizontals, and the conflict of the vertical knife. It creates an interesting tension.

Three Peppers on Dots
Another painting of colorful peppers. I enjoy the colors and values of the red pepper - cool and magenta away from the light, warm and orangey on the lit side.

Orange Pepper on Dots
The peppers were on sale at the market - so I bought several, one of each color, red yellow orange. I dulled down the saturation of the turquoise dots in the background so they wouldn't float off the page. I like the saturated orange color.
