We are growing red cipollini onions in the garden. I picked this bunch before they got large because I thought they'd be exciting to paint. I like the bright red plum color.
Aren't they a lovely colour? I had not heard of them until your painting of the jar of onions. This morning they would have been an excellent addition to my black bean salad. Instead foraged in the garden among the walking onions. Love your blog always such a variety of subject matter. Lesley
