Glass Jar Red Onion on Green

I like the lost and found edges in the glass jar.  The red onion is a nice contrast to the dominant green and the color is repeated in the red brown in the background and in the reflections on the glass.  This is a low key painting, the only whites are the highlights.  On my ETSY store

Red Onion on Gold

The shadow side of the onion is a bit cooler - towards violet, and the lit side is a bit warmer towards red.

Purple Onion on Green - Kitchen art

A purple onion in strong light with loose onion skins.  I like the cool pink colors reflected on the shadow side of the onion.

Four Cipollini

These were from the garden - when they were new we picked them as scallions, but now they're in an in-between stage on the way to becoming cipollini.  I like the red color.

Red Scallions

We are growing red cipollini onions in the garden.   I  picked this bunch before they got large because I thought they'd be exciting to paint.  I like the bright red plum color.
