6 x 6 original oil painting of a pewter teapot and a single orange
tangerine with a sharp spotlight falling on the tabletop leaving most of
the subject in shadow. The pewter pot is a little tarnished and dull
and does not shine brightly but has a beautiful glow. I enjoy all the
reflections and the drama of the limited lighting. Painted from a still
life I set up in my studio with a small spotlight and pieces of
cardboard to cast shadows in interesting places.
