SOLD Pewter Pitcher and Tangerine in the Light

6 x 6 original oil still life painting of a pewter pitcher and a single tangerine. The pewter pitcher is a little tarnished and dull and does not shine brightly but has a beautiful glow. The pitcher is mostly in shadow and the tangerine is in strong downlight Painted from a still life I set up in my studio with a small spotlight and pieces of cardboard to cast shadows in interesting places.  On my ETSY store

Pewter Pot and Tangerine in Shadow

6 x 6 original oil painting of a pewter teapot and a single orange tangerine with a sharp spotlight falling on the tabletop leaving most of the subject in shadow. The pewter pot is a little tarnished and dull and does not shine brightly but has a beautiful glow. I enjoy all the reflections and the drama of the limited lighting. Painted from a still life I set up in my studio with a small spotlight and pieces of cardboard to cast shadows in interesting places.  On my ETSY store

Pewter Pot Tangerine and Eggplant SOLD

 9 x 12 original oil still life painting of a pewter pot, tangerine and small eggplants against a dark background. Painted while I was taking a workshop with Qiang Huang last spring. I enjoyed the opportunity to try on another artist's methods and colors and see how he did it. The final result was a little bit looser and with more varied color than I usually achieve.
