Blue and Greem Summer Madronas
The view from my yard: from the top of the hill, across the valley, down to the water, and up the hill on the other side of Quartermaster Harbor. The madronas grow with a twist to the trunks and lean out over the hillside to catch the sunlight that reflects from the water. A larger painting, 36" x 48", on display during September & October at PSCCU credit union here on Vashon.

Pasagshak Purple
The weather on Kodiak can be gray and dark, but when the sun shines, it is magical. This is a view from Pasagshak on Kodiak Island. The river parallels the shore and has created a high sand berm. The distant hill turns purple in the late light. This painting will be in a group show in Anchorage at the Artique Ltd Gallery in September.
